Diwali, the biggest Hindu festival, brings back lot of memories as celebrating back home and celebrating here in USA for almost 16 years is white a different experience.

Apple life cycle

Here comes October, and breeze of autumn is in the air!!!  Best thing I like about October is Apple and pumpkin picking from an orchard, my favorite one is Terhune Orchards, in South Jersey. We did go there last year and reminisce walking through all the beautiful Apple trees.  They have more than 10 varieties of apples, Joanmac, ginger gold, gala, sun-crisp, red macintosh, gala, liberty, empire, Jonathan, honey crisp, golden delicious, red delicious, these are the few names I remember. But out of all of them, My personal favorite is golden Apple, aka golden apple too sweet!!.

Golden Apple : It has an elongated shape, the skin might be russessted, flesh is a bit yellowish, mildly aromatic but very sweet.

Well, Today I  read a book about Apple life cycle and came up with an idea of a foam craft to teach life cycle of an Apple to my 3-year-old. It was a fun activity for him, along with learning about how Apple grows. Here are the pics!!
