It's a quick easy recipe with a lot of variation you can add with whatever you have handy, like raisins, dried apricots, dried mangoes, dried cranberries, and cherries. You can also use wheat bran instead of oatmeal.
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup almond butter or
1/2 cup peanut butter or
1/2 cup nutella
1/2 cup chocolate chips or any nuts
1/3 cup of whole pitted dates
1/3 cup raw honey
1/4 cup flax seeds or chia seeds
Directions:
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
- Grease your hands with little oil, and make small tablespoon size balls and keep it on the parchment paper.
- Freeze about 45 min to an hour
- Enjoy your energy balls during any time of the day.
